With over 60 years' combined experience in the size reduction and processing equipment industry, Blue Tech offers a wide variety of services. These include standard and custom systems such as hammermills, dust collection systems, air purge classifier mills, crushers, pulverizers, and cyclones, feasibility testing of client materials to be processed, and replacement parts and rebuilt components for Blue Tech systems, as well as parts for competitors' size reduction units. Another service that Blue Tech has available is in-house size reduction/custom toll manufacturing and toll grinding for clients who prefer that we handle all aspects of their size reduction processing needs.

Custom Size Reduction Processing

Size reduction at the Blue Tech manufacturing facility (located in Hickory, North Carolina) can be performed starting with any size and shape of dry solid material. Blue Tech staff will determine, based on the properties of the material, what would be the appropriate and most efficient size reduction processes (one or more) that should be used; that could be milling, crushing, micronizing, screening, sieving, and/or classification in various combinations.

The final particle size distribution can be adjusted by optimizing the operating parameters of our size reduction processing equipment for the properties of the solid material. Additionally, we are able to produce end products with narrow size distribution. One of Blue Tech's strengths is our significant flexibility in size reduction capability; we have the ability to separate fiber strands and break fiber to the desired size, and we can separate similar size and density materials. Our experience in cryogenic size reduction of literally hundreds of materials gives us the ability to take on your material as well. Blue Tech has in-house segregated production areas, which prevent cross contamination of the product. In addition, our high efficiency air filters result in the recovery of 99.9% of the product.

As part of the feasibility phase, we only accept size reduction projects after we perform pilot trials. Performing this preliminary feasibility testing allows our engineering staff to learn more about the material properties and our how our processing equipment performs in a pre-production environment. Our customers appreciate this rigorous testing phase before we take on their projects.

Packaging Services

As an additional value-added service, many of our customers require different sizes and shapes of packaging for their processed product; to this end, Blue Tech has developed the skills and equipment to handle clients' packaging requirements. These packaging requests are usually related (and part of) a size reduction project that we are handling, but we also accept and handle packaging projects whether or not your size reduction processing project was performed by us.

To this end, another service available from us is we can customize our in-house blending equipment to meet your solids blending needs and can offer you customized tolling service at bulk pricing.
